One of our most popular events, the Cambridge bookstore crawl is a chance to discover independent bookstores in the area and (potentially) line your bookshelves with the latest great reads. We'll be changing the itinerary a bit this year and discovering recently opened bookstores and a coffee shop or two. Some stops include:
1. A brand new pop-up bookstore at the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts dedicated to architecture and design.
2. A stop at Toscanini's ice cream in Kendall Square and the newly opened Darwin's coffee shop on Massachusetts Ave.
3. A reading at the Harvard Bookstore and a behind-the-curtains look at the economics of running bookstore at Raven Used.
4. A stop at the art book store at the newly refurbished and consolidated Harvard Art Museum.
We will meet at the MIT Press Bookstore in Kendall Square at 1:30 PM. If you'd like to meet us later in the day, please feel free to call or text Shalin Desai at 978.337.4083
Want to skip the bookstores but join us for some brews? We will end the day at Shay's Pub in Harvard Square at 4:00 PM for some drinks and conversation.
